Look no further, all your basic vegan makeup needs are right here for you! What makes a product vegan in the first place? Not only are they free of animal products, but NO ANIMAL CRUELTY. Here's the tricky part. A lot of companies say "they must abide by the law which complies with animal testing for the well fare of humans". WRONG. If a company wants to sell their products in China or are produced in China, than it would be breaking the law because China requires animal testing- NOT the united states. So basically, a company chooses to put profit over the welfare of animals. Don't let the "it's the law" bullshit trick you. Back to the important stuff: MAKEUP.
Lets start with a primer-
Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer is an awesome brand for all your makeup needs. Their primer is great for dry skin, moderately priced ($32.00), and readily available at your local sephora!

Whether you prefer a mineral foundation or a cream foundation (my preference), Cover FX has you covered. Their cream foundation is NO JOKE. It's definitely for heavier coverage and long lasting. While it's a bit on the pricier side at ($42.00), I promise you won't regret this purchase. Not only does it last long throughout the day, but you only need a dab for full coverage leaving you with plenty of time that you don't need to restock!

TARTE Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation SPF 15 ($39.00)
If you have sensitive skin or want a lighter foundation, tarte clay foundation is amazing! What I've been doing lately is using tarte for a foundation and then using cover fx as a coverup which would make their product last so much longer!

If you're using a cream foundation, I prefer a finishing powder to top it off. While I like to bounce around from brand to brand, my mom is a devoted It Cosmetics fan. Their product Airbrush Perfecting Powder($35.00) gives an awesome photo finish look to your skin and stays on all day! All of their products are cruelty free as well so I feel comfortable supporting their brand!

Now EYEBROWS. The star of the show. I'd leave my house without pants on before I leave without my brows. I'm always jumping around to new brands, trying out new things, but let me tell you- Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade ($18.00) is here to stay. Just a suggestion, I have medium brown eyebrows and medium brown roots but I went for the taupe pallet because the taupe is still pretty dark. I also think that taupe goes best with most hair colors because it blends with your natural color, instead of covering. You need a brush and blender for the paste but both together are still very affordable. ALSO, it lasts forevvvverrr. When it seems to be stiffening up, take a q-tip and mix the pallet and it will be good as new!

Right in line with eyebrows, I'm a big believer in mascara saving all. It has the ability to brighten up your face, without all the extras. Tarte has a mascara called Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara($23.00) and it has 4 1/2 star rating on sephora.com so you know it's the real deal. It's not too clumpy but gives you those full, extended lashes!

Cheap and badass, Kat Von D Ink Eyeliner ($20.00) leaves a bold line with no smudge! This liquid eyeliner comes in a variety of colors and is waterproof. Kat Von D is a completely vegan brand so don't only get the eyeliner, go buck wild and don't worry about having to check the ingredients!

Just because I'm obsessed with Tarte, Tartiest ($24.00) is another awesome eyeliner option that has both a liquid option as well as pencil at the bottom! I give this option because not everyone carries Kat Von D and I love this eyeliner just as much!

Wanna get an eye shadow pallet, and highlighter out of the way all in one, affordable shot? Carly Bybel has got your back! Not only is she an incredible makeup artist (you can find her videos on youtube), but she now has a vegan makeup line! Carli Bybel x BH Cosmetics Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette ($15.00). These eye shadows are perfect for everyday use, natural and nude (how I like to live my life).

Tartlette Flirt Eyeshadow Pallet ($23.00) is perfect for me because I don't always wear eyeshadow but I do like a nice pallet to wear for a casual day look which is why I love these colors! They give a really warm, creamy look without being too bold!

Now for the final hooray! LIPSTICK. A girls best friend. ColourPop ($6.00) is definitely a favorite of mine. They are super affordable so you don't have to just pick one, get all five! With not EVERY product being vegan, it's helpful that they make it very clear which ones are- which is listed in bold for every product. It will say cruelty free (all their products are cruelty free), and it will either have the vegan symbol or not. Their color options are endless and they give a very clear depiction of what color you will be getting through pictures (no surprises is key).
